Ex-Willie Mullins-trained winning hurdler, was supported in the betting on chase bow at Galway Festival, though didn't get beyond the first fence. Likely has ability and capable of being involved.

Nine-year-old of fairly modest ability. Has fallen in two of five starts under rules for current trainer. Most recently tailed off over hurdles at Limerick in July and would need a leap of faith to see prominent role now.

Fell in both chase starts last year, did manage to complete last month on reappearance at Listowel (2m4f, good), but very much in his own time and doesn't appear equipped for leading role here.

2/7
Grade 3-winning juvenile hurdler last term at Fairyhouse (2m, soft), pulled up in Fred Winter at Cheltenham before going well again at Fairyhouse in April. Well beaten at Punchestown but should have a future going chasing. Yard in blistering form.

Verdict

Voix Du Reve was the best of these over hurdles and will be hard to stop if running to that level of form, but this is a different test and he's priced up as if it is a penalty kick. Mitchouka has some smart juvenile form over timber and gets plenty allowances here as the youngster in the field. He has Davy Russell to steer him through his first chase experience and is respected but it might be worth siding with the other Gigginstown runner, DIS DONC. He had just one win over timber was rated 128 and likely will surpass that as a chaser. He's the value at the early prices.
