Ended a long losing run when landing a 1m4f handicap at the Curragh on the Flat in August. Four-race maiden over hurdles but worth a market check in current form.
Beaten 40L at Kilbeggan over 2m4f (good) in August on fourth hurdles start, first in handicap. Drops in distance and too soon to write off.
Nine-race maiden over hurdles and never a factor in a number of dismal starts in the spring. Last month's return at Clonmel didn't offer any encouragement.
Improved on a couple of initial dour runs when finishing third of 14 beaten 4½L in a Tramore 2m maiden hurdle in August. More improvement possible and worth a market check.
Some promise on debut in a Naas bumper in January on testing ground, but hasn't really built on that since and three disappointing attempts over timber so far, latest at Bellewstown (2m4f, good) in August when seemingly not staying. Handicap bow.
Two wins from 22 starts over hurdles. Back on a more feasible mark now but very little to be positive about despite a little promise in a 2m Sligo handicap last time out. Others preferred.
Modest 49-rated handicapper on the Flat, has shown a bit more in two runs since going handicapping in this sphere, albeit still needs to improve again for this drop to 2m.
Running well in defeat in a number of hurdle spins of late before being typically well fended off on the AW at Dundalk last Friday, more likely to have a say back over timber.
Unplaced in six starts over timber, latest two in handicaps over longer trips. Has plenty to find for this drop to 2m.
0-4 in maiden hurdles so far, coming home at wide intervals from the principles in all cases over 2m-2m3f. Makes switch to handicaps and needs dramatic turnaround in fortunes.
C&D winner on good ground in June, off a mark of 80, best run in four since came at Wexford over 2m4f last time, cannot rule out entirely.
Keen-going sort, unplaced in 10 starts over timber but much-improved effort at Clonmel last month over similar trip when only 3L down in seventh of 18 (sent off 33/1). Does have temperament issues and far from reliable.
Promising run at Tramore in August over 2m on good ground but overall an inconsistent type that is hard to place any faith in (1-39 over hurdles) having been brought down since at Clonmel last month.
Currently 0-8 over hurdles and hasn't finished within hailing distance in any of five completed runs in that sequence.
One win from 32 starts and is lowly rated. Up against it in here against some much better rivals and likely to find this tough going.
Forecasts
Wild Desire (6/1), Emily Square (13/2), Arctic Sofia (7/1), Pegi Browne (8/1), Jennys Grey (8/1), The Rebel Knight (8/1), Global Tour (8/1), Bective Cave (8/1), Whereyounow (12/1), Tiantu (14/1), Island Villa (20/1), Reddot Dancer (25/1), Fly De Megaudais (33/1), Streak (33/1), Hushed Tones (50/1)
ARCTIC SOFA has run well in two most recent starts over timber and should go well again here after a spin on the AW at Dundalk last week. She gets the vote in a wide open heat. Pegi Browne has shaped well in two handicaps and drops in trip with some claims while Bective Cave should also be on the premises on recent form. C&D winner Wild Desire is respected dropping in distance while recent Flat winner Emily Square needs a market check back over timber.
- Arctic Sofia
- Pegi Browne
