Well held in both starts so far, at Wexford and Navan. One to watch until we see more from him.
Second foal. Dam 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to useful 2m-2m6f hurdle/chase winner Some Buckle and 2m4f-2m5f hurdle/chase winner Plunkett. Interesting pedigree and worth a market check on debut.
First foal. Dam unplaced bumper/2m3f hurdle, half-sister to four winners, two of them in bumpers. Stable 7% in bumpers over five seasons. Precautionary market check prudent.
Failed to complete in two point-to-points. Dam closely related to a bumper winner, but pedigree suggests that jumping will be his forte. Stable 13% in bumpers over five seasons.
33-1 and never better than the mid division on debut at Listowel. Watch.
Showing steady improvement so far, and was beaten 6½L into fifth at Navan last time. One of the more likely players in this line-up.
Tailed off on sole start last year and beaten a distance on her reappearance at Listowel last month. Very hard to fancy on that evidence.
€23,000 three-year-old. Second foal. Unraced dam closely related to useful 2m hurdle winner Snake Eyes out of bumper/very useful 2m4f-3m1f hurdle and chase (Thyestes) winner. Stable 38% in this sphere this season. Should go well on debut.
Went very close at Kelso two starts ago and ran to the same level at Downpatrick last time. Those experiences should help and she should ago be thereabouts.
Forecasts
Northern Belle (9/10), Miss Aloud (3/1), Rocco's Dream (4/1), Latoyah Of North (7/1), Convara (14/1), Fostered Phil (25/1), Blink And Wink (50/1), Morning Echo (50/1), The Cue Ball (66/1)
Convara is an interesting newcomer, while the same applies to Rocco's Dream, though he is probably more one to consider when jumping obstacles. Latoyah Of North should be in the hunt for some prize money, but this is probably best left between Northern Belle and MISS ALOUD. Gordon Elliott's filly has shown promise on her last two starts and that extra bit of experience over the Willie Mullins-trained newcomer may be enough to tip the scales in her favour.
- Miss Aloud
- Northern Belle
- Convara
