Daughter of Exceed And Excel purchased for 145,000 gns at the breeze-up sales in April. Dam a Group 2 winner so hopefully she will improve on a poor debut last month.

5,000 gns daughter of Nayef related to an AW winner and a bumper winner. Yard would not be expected to have one ready to score at the first time of asking.

By Camelot and the first foal of a middle-distance winner who also proved useful over hurdles. Stable have had a good year with their juveniles so one to note in the market.

€18,000 yearling out of a 5f listed winner. Sent off favourite on debut and interesting to see if confidence remains now switched to turf.

From the first crop of Dunaden out of a French 7f winner. Represents leading connections and this the choice from a crop of engagements this week.
By Camelot of an AW winning miler. Yard generally leave plenty to work on so she may be one to watch for the future.

By Lope De Vega out of the 7f-9.4f winner Woodland Aria (half-sister to 1m2f Group 1 winner Mukhadram). Going the right way judged on her latest effort and the extra furlong looks needed.

Champs Elysees half-sister to 7f-1¼m winner Column. Never a factor on debut and looks something of a long term project judged on that run.

Kingman filly, dam a 1m winner and sister to two more winners. Form of her latest run has worked out well and stable's juveniles have been in great shape lately.

5/2
155,000 gns daughter of Shamardal related to seven winners including Strobilus, Hunterview and Lava Flow who were all useful. Represents a leading yard and the market will be a good indicator.

Forecasts

Spanish Aria (6/4), Ya Hala (5/2), Winterkoenigin (4/1), Hidden Pearl (11/1), Dorah (18/1), Perfecimperfection (25/1), Get It Ready (25/1), Eesha Lovely (28/1), Tartlette (33/1), Bruyere (66/1), Bumblekite (100/1)

Verdict

There are some interesting newcomers in this but SPANISH ARIA and Winterkoenigin have shown enough to make their experience tell. The latter was noted staying on in a Ffos Las contest that has worked out nicely, but the selection has been supported on each run. The Gosden filly gave the impression there was better to come at this trip when staying on well to finish third to a useful looking sort last time.
  1. Spanish Aria
  2. Winterkoenigin
  3. Hidden Pearl
