Well beaten on sole chase start last time. Won a handicap hurdle from 2lb higher earlier in the year, so has the ability to act from this sort of mark, but plenty to prove over fences.

Both chase wins have come over 2m2f at Fontwell, the latter, in May, from 3lb higher. Has claims on that basis, but form since then has been well off the mark, so needs a revival.

0-13 under rules for Kenny Johnson. Best effort over fences was at Kelso in April, when a 1L second from this mark. Bought for £12,500 and had wind surgery since then. Makes debut for this trainer today, in headgear, and is interesting.

The last of his nine wins came in 2015, when trained by David Pipe. Can't recommend him on anything we have seen since.

0-9. Well held in all starts since joining this trainer and impossible to recommend him on the two chase runs we have seen, despite his reducing mark.

Dual Market Rasen chase winner this year (2m3f/2m5½f, both on good). Up 3lb for the latest of those. Not the most consistent, but if he can reproduce that sort of effort he would be likely to go close.

Best effort over fences was at Newton Abbot in July, when beaten 2¾L from this mark. Subsequent runs are a concern, but if back in that form and with a 5lb claimer up, he could again come into this.

Has scored from 3lb higher over fences and stays 2m6½f. Beaten just 1L from this mark at Taunton in March. Claims on that basis. Not easy to catch right, but 10lb attractive and may do better for a change of scenery (stable debut).

Maiden in point-to-points and under rules. Failed to complete on her last two starts. Readily opposed.

Forecasts

Beau Sancy (5/4), Show's Over (3/1), Grow Nasa Grow (9/2), Diplomatico (10/1), Vif Argent (12/1), Code Of Law (20/1), Mount Russell (20/1), Rule The Ocean (33/1), Ayla's Emperor (40/1)

Verdict

Show's Over looks very interesting with 10lb claimed and the benefit of being freshened up for a change of stable. He could go close, but another who also has his first start for a new trainer is BEAU SANCY, who gets the vote. Olly Murphy has built a reputation for improving others' cast-offs and this gelding is particularly interesting after wind surgery, a decent break and the application of new headgear. Grow Nasa Grow and Diplomatico each make some appeal.
