Out of the frame just once from six attempts over hurdles, winning two over this trip and on good ground. Another good run on first completed handicap start last time. 2lb drop positive. Should go well.
1m4f Flat winner who also won a Wetherby juvenile hurdle (good) for Jedd O'Keeffe last year. Disappointed on handicap hurdle debut in March and sold for £7,500. Makes stable debut here from 5lb lower. Market check.
Five-time hurdle winner, including from 6lb lower at Worcester (2m, good) last time out. Still improving and will need more of that to defy this career-high mark.
Won a Market Rasen maiden hurdle (2m½f, good) on his fourth start. Up 4lb for that going into his handicap debut, but open to improvement and looks a likely player.
3lb lower than last hurdle outing in March. Has since joined this trainer after being sold for £16,000. Looks to be on a workable mark. Could go well.
Won a fast ground Worcester handicap (2m) in July, when 5lb lower. Ran well back there last time when ½L second from 1lb lower. Further improvement needed to win, but enters calculations.
Has done most of his winning at Newton Abbot and added two more there this summer, the latest from 6lb lower. Improved on that at Stratford last time, but needs to eek out more from this mark to win again.
0-6 over hurdles and has been out of sorts both in this code and on the Flat. Others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Quids In (15/8), Lovato (5/2), Red Hot Chilly (5/1), Fields Of Fortune (7/1), Stepover (8/1), Tamarillo Grove (14/1), American Craftsman (28/1), Outcrop (50/1)
A competitive heat where Tamarillo Grove, Red Hot Chilly and Stepover could all have a say if finding a bit more improvement. Fields Of Fortune is another of interest and a win for him would be no surprise, however, LOVATO is arguably still unexposed over hurdles, despite this 2lb drop, and he can take advantage. Quids In is well worth a market check on his stable debut.
- Lovato
- Fields Of Fortune
- Stepover
