Has been beaten a log way on all three starts so far this year. Has won over C&D though and is lurking on a dangerous mark now. Recent form makes her hard to fancy though.
Hard to know what her best trip is. Shaped like this trip was much too short for her at Thirsk but then showed no signs of improvement upped in trip last time. Mark is fine, but this trip is a worry. Cheekpieces now added.
Winner here over 7f three starts back and sound efforts the last twice too including over C&D last time when a very close fourth. Races off the same mark again here today and should be bang there once more.
Beaten favourite over C&D last time when not getting the best of runs through. On a good mark and should be competitive again today with ground conditions more in his favour.
Been in good form of late having won at Carlisle off 5lb lower and running a cracker again there last time. Should be on the premises again if running to the same level again here.
Been a regular here this summer and peak performance came when winning over 1m1f at 50/1. Last three efforts have been very weak and despite falling mark is hard to fancy at present.
Goes on any ground but probably at his best on a quick surface. Form has tailed off somewhat of late and is hard to fancy despite falling to an attractive mark.
Hold-up performer who often travels well through his race but doesn't always go through with things. On a dangerous mark though if everything were to drop right though and not totally dismissed.
Won here back in July over 7f off 1lb lower. Form has really tailed off since then and now the blinkers are reached for. Needs to do plenty more.
Has won over 7f here three times but has been well held on all starts so far in 2018 and it is hard to see a revival here.
Handicap debutante from an in-form Irish yard that do well on their raids over here. Has shown signs of ability and she could pose a serious threat off her basement mark.
Forecasts
Donnelly's Rainbow (15/8), Zoravan (3/1), Billy Bond (8/1), She's Pukka (17/2), New Abbey Angel (9/1), The Perch (16/1), Pudding Chare (16/1), Ingleby Angel (22/1), Dark Crystal (33/1), Rioja Day (33/1), Stardrifter (40/1)
BILLY BOND has been the most consistent of these of late and has much the best chance of going in again. The Perch moves into handicaps off a basement mark and any market support for her would be significant. Dark Crystal is on a good mark and completes the shortlist.
- Billy Bond
- The Perch
- Dark Crystal
