Pushed along two out and weakened on return to the fray following a two-year absence in a Galway handicap hurdle last month. Plenty to find here.
Nothing of note in a number of drab efforts over hurdles since April. Hard to see him making any significant progress in this company.
C&D winner here in June off a 16lb lower mark in June. Progression has continued and although beaten latest, remains a leading player here.
Off the mark over hurdles at the sixth time of asking for connections winning a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle last month by 2¾L. Up 9lb for that success and should make her presence felt.
No impression on the leaders from two out in a Kilbeggan 2m handicap hurdle on return to action over timber for two years. Looks vulnerable in this company.
Looking for a hat-trick of wins following success at Sligo and Clonmel off a 5lb lower mark. Continuation of development likely here.
19 race maiden who is without a win in nine starts over hurdles and has been unable to halt the alarming slide in form during a dismal summer campaign. Others hold stronger profiles.
Flemensfirth gelding dam was a fair staying hurdles winner, half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser Across The Bay. Well beaten in three hurdle starts to date. Looks to be a future prospect.
Has been shaping well of late with engaging performances at Sligo and Galway recently. Likely to go well but needs a little help from the handicapper.
Has been supported previously and shown signs of ability. Likable type who should be in the mix and worth a check in the market.
Just 1-14 over hurdles, scoring over this trip at Downpatrick in September last year off a mark of 86. Unlikely to play a part in the finish here.
Winner of a 2m Wexford handicap hurdle off a 5lb lower mark beating the solid and consistent Littlestickarubarb ½L last month. Likely to improve once again.

Toor General (11/2), Grand Canyon (11/2), Mandarin Monarch (6/1), Trenchtown Rock (6/1), Ciankyle (7/1), Comehere Hi (8/1), Rain In Spain (9/1), Thatbeatsbanagher (9/1), Rathnaleen Girl (10/1), Trump Sixteen (14/1), A Place Apart (16/1), Sierra Law (20/1), Kansas Kid (20/1)
The six-year-old GRAND CANYON was a 71-rated handicapper on the Flat and got off the mark over hurdles at the sixth time of asking for connections winning a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle last month by 2¾L. The 9lb rise seems fair given the manor of the win and the High Chaparral-gelding can hold off the attentions of the hat-trick seeking, Rain In Spain and Wexford winner Trenchtown Rock who can continue his improvement here. C&D winner Ciankyle could go better than his price suggests.
- Grand Canyon
- Rain In Spain
- Ciankyle
