Well held in five chase starts to date but notable jockey booking on handicap chase debut to be considered.
Hadn't won since February 2017 before landing a 2m2f Galway handicap chase off a 5lb lower mark earlier this month. Rates a leading contender.
Unable to halt alarming slide in form with a couple of heavy defeats over the larger obstacles last month. Tough ask and others preferred.
Yet to win in seven starts over fences including a 21L defeat in a Ballinrobe handicap chase earlier this month. Needs to improve to have a say here.
Course winner whose losing run goes back to June 2016 at Downpatrick off a 15lb higher mark. Not getting any younger and may find one or two a little quicker.
Point-to-point winner but still a maiden after 25 starts under Rules including a couple of defeats over fences. Likely to struggle here.
All six 2018 runs have been poor including heavy defeats over the larger obstacles in the summer. Ground a concern and others readily preferred.
Well held on chasing debut in a Sedgefield novice handicap chase over 2m½f on good ground. Others look more convincing at this level.
15-race maiden over the larger obstacles who produced a career best when second of 16 beaten ½L in a Tipperary handicap chase in July. Well held since and place claims.
Nothing of note in a number of below-par displays over fences last month before a 28L defeat at Wexford recently. Will need to raise overall performance to play a role here.
Forecasts
Mister Butler (7/2), Island Master (4/1), Black Jewel (11/2), Ballyfinboy (7/1), Kilderry Prince (8/1), Redwood Boy (9/1), Mic Milano (12/1), Loch Luatha (12/1), Select Opportunity (16/1), Brontide (20/1)
In this company, ISLAND MASTER can build on a Galway win earlier this month when staying on well under pressure to lead in the final furlong over 2m2f. The step up in trip and rise in the weights shouldn't be a hindrance to the nine-year-old here. The Paul Flynn-trained Black Jewel can be a danger if bringing his summer form to proceeding, while top weight, Mister Butler is worth consideration with Davy Russell an interesting booking.
