Dual winner this season but handicapper caught up since. Latest third of five at Kempton leaves him a bit to find and suspect best distance closer to 1m4f these days so probably up against it off this mark.

Remains a maiden but not beaten far in any of her four races this season and went down by just a short head at Newbury earlier in the season. Handicapper keeps up the pressure but everything in her favour to run a big race here.

Improved effort in her third and final start last season (all on AW) when second of 10 at Lingfield. Long absence a concern but this trip could prove ideal and little doubt he is open to improvement now.

Four-race maiden was beaten 4¾L into fifth of ten at Sandown on handicap debut last month. Open to improvement but will need to do so with no relent in his mark.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-0| J: J Quinn| T: A M Balding| OR:  69| BF
9/1
Consistent level of form in four races this season (all on AW) with fair runs the last twice in handicaps at Kempton (fourth and fifth, both of 12). Gets 1lb back as she switches to turf and yard won this race last year.

Forecasts

Endlessly (7/4), Brigham Young (5/2), Maori Bob (9/2), The Jean Genie (5/1), Exeat (9/1)

Verdict

The safest bet here may prove to be THE JEAN GENIE who has managed a couple of seconds recently and was unlucky in between. She arrives in the best form and ought to be the one to beat now. Brigham Young is an interesting, unexposed type who could well appreciate this step up in trip but the nine month layoff has to be a concern. Exeat represents last season's winning yard and she too steps up in trip now.
  1. The Jean Genie
  2. Brigham Young
  3. Exeat
