Twice a winner at the track, so handles this surface, and will appreciate this step back up to 7f after looking short of pace over 6f here last time out. New mark has kicked in now though, so needs a bit more, but that's not impossible.

Looking very well handicapped on old form now but hasn't shown much for some time now, although it was a bit better at Musselburgh last time. First start for new yard here, and on balance best watched.

C&D winner here last year and fairly handicapped on that but has thrown in two poor efforts this year and hard to say exactly what ability he retains. On that, not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Winner at Lingfield in July (on the turf track) but hasn't gone on from that and has twice been an expensive failure at short prices. Cheekpieces now given a try to get him back on the right track, but clearly not one to fully trust.

Handles artificial surfaces well, winner on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton last year and put in her best effort this season when second over C&D last time out (slowly away). Hood retained here and a repeat of that would take her close.

Came good on soft ground at Yarmouth in May (7f) but has put in a series of lesser efforts since then, beating just four horses home in four starts. Will handle the surface but really needs to turn things around to hold any chance.

Middle effort of three at Goodwood clearly his best effort, not beaten that far and looked to hold some ability. Off since May and gelded since last seen, so every chance of seeing an improved run here. Watch the marker is the advice.

Had appeared to have gone right off the boil before her surprise 50-1 victory over C&D last time out, and seems to reserve her best efforts for the sand. Given overall profile, no certainly to follow that up, but can;t be dismissed lightly.

Forecasts

Rux Ruxx (3/1), American Endeavour (7/2), Mirbat (9/2), Harbour Vision (5/1), Sonnet Rose (6/1), Hic Bibi (6/1), Sayesse (16/1), Seyasah (20/1)

Verdict

Market support for Mirbat would need heeding but the suggestion as it stands is AMERICAN ENDEAVOUR, who seems to enjoy racing on the sand and wont be far away if she an build even slightly on her latest effort here last time out. Sonnet Rose is another that likes racing here and can take a medal of some colour home.
