Mainly consistent since being gelded and has hit a rich vein of form lately. Been a successful and well-supported favourite the last twice and sure to be popular again despite a 4lb higher mark. A leading contender once more.
Capable at this level but still 4lb above his last winning mark. Needs to dig a little deeper than he has of late but no forlorn hope if handling the ground - notable he's never yet won on turf despite going close on numerous occasions.
Showed a bit of improvement last time at Newbury and has scope to develop more as he gains further experience over this trip. Worth noting in the betting and dangerous to underestimate.
Lightly raced gelding that posted his best effort to date when upped to this trip at Ffos Las 10 days ago. That was a promising start to his handicap career and created the impression there is more to come. Shortlisted.
Modest form in maiden/novice company backed up by a low-key effort on his handicap debut last time. Others would appear to be more progressive at this stage.
Winner over C&D on his penultimate start but came up short in a similar contest from 2lb higher next time. The handicapper has relented a touch and it's still early days for him at this level. Respected but others look more progressive just now.
C&D winner last month and being kept busy after a solid run at Ayr earlier in the week. Gets on well with today's rider and can be considered as a player while the ground remains in her favour.
No easy task from 2lb out of the weights but had the measure of Liars Corner here last time out and has a solid record of making the frame at this course. Good value for a place in the frame despite the unfavourable terms.
Forecasts
Pammi (7/4), Soldier To Follow (7/2), Pentland Hills (9/2), Flying Focus (8/1), Liars Corner (17/2), Kenny George (11/1), Emerald Rocket (20/1), Valkenburg (66/1)
Hard to get away from the progressive profile presented by PENTLAND HILLS, who is improving at a rate of knots and could be up to defying his latest modest rise in the weights. Best of the rest may be Pammi, who likes it here and knows how to win over C&D when he has his ground. Kenny George is an unexposed handicapper that also merits consideration in a race like this., while Flying Focus is another value option worth considering, as he likes this course and will handle the ground despite being out of the handicap.
- Pentland Hills
- Pammi
- Kenny George
