Overcame greenness to run on well on his second start back in May. Not seen since but showed plenty of speed in the win and with improvement could be hard to beat.

Kodiac colt who is closely related to a couple of winning sprinters. Triple figure odds when refusing to load on intended debut at Thirsk and hard to recommend.

Kyllachy colt, cost £70,000 as a yearling. Showed promise in two early starts for Clive Cox but well beaten both starts this year. Needs to bounce back on stable debut

Mayson filly who's price dropped from £50,000 as a yearling to 2,000 gns in the February sales. Showed some ability in two starts so far but plenty more required in this company.

5/1
Eight-race maiden who only went down a neck when switching to front-running tactics over this C&D. Isn't progressing but likely to be involved again.

Paco Escostar43

5/1
Has shown enough in eight starts that she has a race in her and ran well in last two of three for new trainer. Her Catterick second has worked out well and another solid run over this C&D last time.

Forecasts

Soumei (1/1), Go Roo (7/2), Paco Escostar (5/1), Hula Girl (5/1), Eternal Sun (14/1), Red Hot Fusion (80/1)

Verdict

Paco Escostar has to be considered dropping down from handicaps and is racing well, however she wouldn't want this becoming tactical. Hula Girl can go well again if getting an easy time of things up front but is vulnerable to more progressive types. SOUMEI showed a nice turn of foot when winning on his second start and despite having to shoulder a penalty may prove too quick for his rivals.
  1. Soumei
  2. Paco Escostar
  3. Hula Girl
