Bashkirov gelding from an unraced dam, doesn't make significant appeal on debut here. Yard just 1-35 with bumper runners.
A €17,000 three-year-old Jeremy gelding, he is a half-brother to useful hurdler Springtown Lake. Worth a market check on first start.

Yeats gelding is a half-brother to 2m5f hurdle winner Cluan Dara, dam fair 2m2f hurdle winner. Some promise on debut at Sligo but didn't improve next time at Listowel meeting softer surface and similar fate in store now seemingly.

Alkaadhem gelding out of a Mister Lord mare. Half-brother to game sorts A Hare Breath and The Organist. Heavy defeats in trio of bumper starts to date and looks vulnerable again here.
Jim Bolger-bred gelding out of a Princely Heir mare. Has shown some promise in two starts, needs to improve but possible that will happen.
Beat Hollow gelding. Brother to a winner, and closely related to two more winners, including this yard's smart hurdler/chaser Blackstairmountain. Represents top names, should prove popular.

Well beaten in two starts so far at Killarney and Listowel and will have to find a good deal more if hoping for a share of the limelight when it matters.
9

Twice-raced filly, improved no second start at Sligo (2m2f, good) last month to just under 4L third of seven. Should be more to come and in the mix here.

One pace when a moderate second of seven on debut at Down Royal in June and duly failed to build on that at Limerick the following month. Hood tried now and needs to bring more to the table.

Forecasts

Mt Leinster (9/10), Casamari Abbey (5/1), Let The Heirs Walk (8/1), Dont Go Mad (8/1), Dona Katharina (10/1), Rathmuck Minstrel (14/1), Dedanann (14/1), Pino Boy (20/1), Secret Cargo (25/1), Bashful Kid (33/1)

Verdict

MT LEINSTER makes plenty of appeal on paper and comes to the racetrack for the first time representing the best in the business in this sphere. He should know what is expected today and can likely land this ordinary finale. Dona Katharina took a step forward at Sligo on her second start last month and should come forward again, ensuring Lisa O'Neill's mount looks the main danger. Let The Heirs Walk has shaped well and may improve while another newcomer, Casamari Abbey, also merits a betting check.
  1. Mt Leinster
  2. Dona Katharina
  3. Let The Heirs Walk
