Remains lightly-raced, scored in Fairyhouse maiden hurdle (2m, soft to heavy) in January. Well held afterwards in Gradee/Listed races. Back from a break and ought to find this more to her liking.
One from 13 over hurdles which will come as some disappointment for leading yard. Has shown nothing in three starts since a second at Kilbeggan in June. Market likely to be the best guide after poor effort at Listowel this month.
Has won four times over hurdles, though not since 2016. Scored over fences at Fairyhouse (2m) on testing ground in February and race-fit from summer campaign on the Flat (ran well without winning).
Step in the right direction at Kilbeggan a fortnight ago over similar trip, finishing third of 13 (beaten just under 7L). Chance if building on that run from the same mark here.
Produced a career-best when winning eight-runner handicap chase at Listowel (2m1f, soft) on Saturday last by a wide margin. Rated 2lb lower back over timber and on any shortlist.
Won her second of 14 starts over hurdles when taking a Cork 2m3f handicap hurdle in good style winning by over 7L last month. Well held off new mark at Listowel recently however and bit more needed.
Failed to improve on handicap debut following three below par performances in maiden hurdles last season. Shaped with some promise on return at Listowel (2m4f, good) this month, has to build on that to get in the mix here.
Won a 2m4f Wexford handicap hurdle when not unbacked in July, held in three runs since from higher marks, without being disgraced. Bit more needed but not totally overlooked.
Nine-race maiden, though put up a sound effort in one run this year at Roscommon (2m4f, good) in June when 2L fourth of 13. Back from another break, rated 1lb lower, capable of getting in the mix with first-time cheekpieces tried.
Forecasts
Presenting Mahler (7/2), Platinum Empress (9/2), Robin On The Hill (5/1), Lareena (5/1), Theatre Run (8/1), Minnies Secret (8/1), Vanellope (10/1), Water Sprite (10/1), Head Turner (12/1)
PRESENTING MAHLER hosed up last weekend at Listowel over fences and comes out again quickly in a bid to take advantage of his 2lb lower mark in this sphere. He likes to get on with things and will prove hard to reel in if in the same mood now. Lareena is nothing if not frustrating but can be considered while the likes of Robin On The Hill could go well and Head Turner makes appeal with the ground forecast to be quite testing.
- Presenting Mahler
- Robin On The Hill
- Head Turner
