Caused a shock when upsetting a Hannon hotpot at Doncaster on Derby day. Showed a good attitude that day and he ought to handle the longer trip.

Off the mark at the third attempt when scoring decisively at Wolverhampton (7f, AW). Went close back there over same C&D last time under a penalty. Claims once more if he can transfer those two better efforts back onto turf.

Improved effort on second start at Beverley (7½f, good) when not getting the best of runs and staying on well. Should be more to come and respected with further improvement highly likely.

16/1
Iffraaj colt, cost 60,000 gns as a yearling and 130,000 gns as a Breeze-up purchase. Well held in both starts so far and will need to show plenty of improvement to take a hand here.

Cost 21,000 gns as a yearling and gelded ahead of debut when well held at Thirsk (7f, good to soft). Needs to improve on that a large amount and others have stronger claims.

Cityscape half-brother to connections' Fred Darling Stakes winner Redstart. Shaped with lots of promise on debut at Sandown (7f, good to soft) when not getting the clearest of runs at a crucial stage. Normal improvement would give him sound claims.

Olympic Glory colt that fetched 65,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to a couple of winners and dam was a winner over 6f & 7f as a two-year-old. Likely to know job on debut.

Son of French Fifteen that cost €40,000 as a yearling. Well held on all three starts so far and likely to do better once tackling handicaps.

Euro No More14
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: G Lee| T: K Dalgleish
15/2
Daughter of Kodiac cost 65,000 gns as a yearling and €21,000 as a juvenile. Missed break and ran green on debut at Musselburgh (7f, good). Should have learnt plenty there and improvement is likely. Interesting to see how she fares in the market.

Forecasts

Guildhall (13/8), Theatre Of War (7/2), Must See The Doc (9/2), Euro No More (15/2), Archies Lad (10/1), Memphis Bleek (14/1), Arogo (16/1), Monsieur Piquer (50/1), George Ridsdale (100/1)

Verdict

Once raced pair Guidhall and Euro No More are both tempting propositions. The former ran a cracker on debut at Sandown and should know me here so is very much respected. The latter shaped with plenty of promise and ran green on debut. She has potential to represent a bit of value in this field. Marginal preference though is for ARCHIES LAD who was stopped in his run at a crucial stage at Beverley last time and may find this track more suitable.
  1. Archies Lad
  2. Guildhall
  3. Euro No More
