350,000 gns son of Dubawi who showed a similar level in his first three runs but showed improvement at this trip on his handicap debut. Got an easy lead when making all and this will be tougher up 6lb but probably still more to come.

Showed promise in both his first two starts but a bit disappointing at Salisbury last time. Handicap debut but may need further in time..

Improved for the step up to 7f in her best run in three starts to date. Was keeping on at the finish and with plenty of stamina in her pedigree looks likely to keep on progressing at this trip.

Only cost 5,500 gns as a yearling who wasn't disgraced last time in a warm Newmarket contest. Bred to improve now upped in trip and can be involved.

Forecast

Massam (1/2), Molly Mai (4/1), Lethal Guest (5/1), Whenapoet (20/1)

Verdict

Massam has to be respected for his all-powerful trainer who has won this twice in the last nine years. He had his own way up front last time but despite only three rivals in opposition he may face competition up front from Whenapoet who looks open to significant improvement now getting over a suitable trip. Lethal Guest needs to bounce back from a disappointing run while MOLLY MAI gets the verdict after catching the eye over a furlong shorter and and looks on an attractive mark on handicap debut.
