Dual winner here last year and returned to form when runner-up on penultimate start at Uttoxeter. Not as good last time out and needs to bounce back now.
Quirky sort, winner over fences at Stratford in May on first start for close to a year, pulled up in the follow up attempt there. Ran a fair race back over timber at Market Rasen last month (2m7f, good) but more needed to take the prize here.
All four career wins have come at Newton Abbot, most recently in October 2016. Shaped well on firs start for new connections after 529-day layoff at that favoured track last month and cannot be ruled out now.
Had a couple of spins on the flat of late to keep him ticking over. Generally runs his race and is still below his last winning mark over hurdles so possible to see him going well.
Just the one win to her name following 19 starts overall, but shaped well on return over 2m4f on return to action here last month. Longer trip will suit and solid claims with that run in mind.
Has won three of her last four starts, including last time over C&D, ratings increase makes things tougher this time out but in-form mare entitled to have her say again.
Forecasts
Miss Mash (3/1), Midnight Sapphire (4/1), Outrageous Romana (4/1), Allelu Alleluia (5/1), Rolling Maul (11/2), Mr Mcguiness (7/1)
Outrageous Romana is fine tune lately and scored over C&D last time out. Her latest ratings hike might just be enough to halt her form. Rolling Maul should run his usual solid race but MISS MASH made a pleasing return over C&D last month and, with the champion jockey booked now, might be up to taking this prize. Midnight Sapphire also went after a significant layoff last time and needs a close look.
