Man: 2-4 over fences so far, scoring at Southwell over minimum trip in April, jumping well and scoring with plenty in hand. Pulled up on handicap bow at Kempton a month later, joined Dan Skelton over the summer and likely to bounce back.
Hit an upturn in form when joining this yard last year winning his first five races and rising 17lb in the handicap in a mixture of hurdle and chase wins. Returned to action last month with C&D success and likely goes well from 5lb higher now.
Finished a good fifth at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) in May but below that form in three subsequent outings. Races off a mark 4lb lower than for his most recent victory.
Easy winner last month over C&D on chase bow, since run well in Sedgefield novice handicap not discounted despite mark rising 6lb for that runner-up finish.
Forecasts
Theo (1/1), Peter The Mayo Man (5/2), Dinsdale (4/1), Roman Flight (11/1)
Peter The Mayo Man turned in a poor performance on his final start for Paul Nicholls but there was much to like in his two previous wins and he's respected starting for Dan Skelton. THEO has been in cracking form since joining Dr Richard Newland and a 5lb rise doesn't appear too harsh for last month's C&D win back from a break. Dinsdale is improving over fences, has won over C&D and is also entitled to have designs on this.
