Has three course wins to his name including his last success in April 2017 over this trip.. Ran a cracker over two miles at Goodwood last time from way out of the handicap and back at this trip has claims if able to stay in touch early on.

In good form last term winning three handicap at up to 1m6f for Mark Johnston. Absent 10 months before return in July for new yard and hasn't shown much. Dropped 2lb since last run and looks like he'll be going hurdling soon enough.

Has run creditably three of last four starts and kept on well off 2lb lower mark when runner-up at Newmarket last time out. In good heart and should be thereabouts once again.

Won as a juvenile in Ireland for the late Tommy Stack and finished placed most starts last term for his son, Fozzie. Now with new yard and failed by just half a length here last time over 1m3f. Has every chance with an extra furlong to travel now.

Won mile novice stakes here on debut last October but ran poorly first two starts this term and was gelded. One run since hinted he could be on the way back when fourth of 10 here last week so looks a contender.

Dark Angel gelding second in two novice events last month following long break but found 1m2f a little sharp for him when fifth on handicap bow last time. Extra two furlongs should help the cause and represents top yard.

Beautifully bred 300,000 guineas Galileo filly, stayed on well last time on third start to win by a nose in Windsor 1m2f maiden. Makes handicap bow now and longer trip looks right so rates a major contender.

Well bred Oasis Dream gelding hasn't yet lived up to his pedigree. Placed on last two starts at up to 10 furlongs but looked paceless and longer race may bring about some improvement. Needs to produce more though.

Took time to get the hang of things but scored with something to spare last time on seventh attempt, running away with C&D novice event. Raised 3lb but repeat can't be ruled out if the penny has indeed finally dropped.

Forecasts

Klassique (7/2), Mapped (7/2), Tiffin Top (5/1), Thunder Speed (5/1), Tenedos (5/1), Rake's Progress (11/1), Hidden Depths (11/1), Jacob Cats (33/1), Pumblechook (50/1)

Verdict

Thunder Speed may prove the best of the older horses, but the three-year-olds look the ones to concentrate on here with KLASSIQUE taken to follow up her maiden win at Windsor last time out and make a successful handicap debut. Mapped won well last time and may finally be getting the hang of things so could be a danger, along with Tenedos, Hidden Depths and Tiffin Top. Veteran top weight Jacob Cats ran really well when wrong at the weights at Goodwood last time and another bold show is not out of the question.
