Only win came in selling handicap at Yarmouth last year but although ran well enough at Chelmsford in July hasn't done a great deal since and needs to up his game.
Broke duck at 20th attempt when hacking up at Lingfield on turf mid-summer. Run poorly off higher mark since then though and is hard to enthuse over.
Eased 3lb and has run respectably at this trip this season without threatening to pop his head in front. On a fair mark now and promising young apprentice claims 7lb.
Still a maiden after 17 starts but has plenty of placed form. Hasn't shown much though in last couple of starts but not completely dismissed.
8-43 on the AW and went close at Wolverhampton on penultimate start. Unsuited by drop back to 6f last time when stayed on well but has prospects over this longer trip.
Won over C&D in October off 2lb higher mark. Made show at Catterick after summer break last time when slowly away. May be sharper now so worth a market check.
Hard to see drop back in trip helping her cause having run best race three starts ago when third over 1m2f at Lingfield. Still a maiden and looks up against it once again.
Only modest but did win at Lngfied AW in May and ran fair race when third off 4lb higher next time. Showed little after a break last time but is less exposed than most others in this event.
Last win came at Windsor in August 2016 off mark of 77 and is a previous C&D winner. Fairly consistent at this lower level these days and has place prospects.
Only placed once in 10 starts and has finished last in each of her last two starts. Continues to drop down the weights but doesn't look a winner a waiting.
Went close a couple of times earlier this year for former trainer Paul Cole about ran poorly on debut for current yard and looked a tricky ride. Down 2lb and undoubtedly has claims on the best of his form if in the mood.
Only win came over C&D in June off 6lb lower mark but has run well off current rating when placed in each of her last two starts. Should be in the thick of the action if things go her way.
In cracking form this winter winning three from four including for Suzi Best including here over a mile. Makes debut for new yard after 80 day absence and market should tell the story.
125,000 guineas yearling but hasn't lived up to his price tag as yet. Dropped 5lb since modest handicap run last time and rider claims 3lb more. Cannot be dismissed as first-time cheekpieces may very much help the cause.
Forecasts
Lady Of Authority (3/1), Shyarch (7/2), Navarra Princess (4/1), Athassel (8/1), Plucky Dip (8/1), Fairway To Heaven (12/1), Soar Above (14/1), Queen Of Dreams (16/1), Ertidaad (16/1), Three C's (20/1), Ruby's Gem (20/1), Isntshesomething (25/1), Summer Thunder (33/1), Canadian Royal (100/1)
With most of these exposed as rather modest it might be worth chancing a little improvement from longshot and bottom weight SOAR ABOVE who is surely better than we've seen so far and may be helped by the addition of cheekpieces. Navarra Princess is a big danger having run well of late, Plucky Dip and Athassel are both respected on the balance of their form, as too is Summer Thunder, among others.
- Soar Above
- Navarra Princess
- Plucky Dip
