Far from consistent although certainly capable of going well off this mark. Return to this trip didn't make a difference latest but looks stable first choice and the yard had five entered at the five day stage.
1m1f winner at Hamilton in July disappointed next at Ayr upped 5lb before making hurdles bow at Cartmel latest (third of four). This trip an unknown but potential to be well handicapped if he stays it and Hamilton win offered optimism.
Progressive handicapper has landed three of his last four races with the only exception when possibly not lasting 2m here two starts back. Faces another career high mark after winning at Chelmsford latest but still seriously considered.
Improved each time he's gone up in trip this season and won at Chester over 1m6½f on penultimate start before finishing down the field in a hot York handicap (Lucky Deal also in rear). This more his level and only 2lb higher than Chester.
Chester winner over 1m2½f back in June but out of luck since. Steps into the unknown over this trip but seemed to stay 1m4f last twice. More needed so will need this trip to bring about improvement.
Back to back 1m6f successes at Redcar the last twice and raised 3lb for each of them. All out latest so will need more to defy this latest rise in a warmer contest but clearly going the right way now upped to this distance.
Six-race maiden showed some promise latterly for Marco Botti but yet to achieve much in two starts for new yard. Upped in trip now but from 3lb out of the handicap.

Artarmon (5/2), Lynwood Gold (7/2), Bill Cody (7/2), Midnight Wilde (9/2), Amazing Michele (8/1), Good Boy Alfie (10/1), Lucky Deal (10/1), Sarvi (28/1)
ARTARMON has been a revelation since stepping up in trip and Michael Bell's charge can continue his progression to take the feature here. Bill Cody is possibly the biggest threat and he too seems to have come into his own over this trip. Good Boy Alfie is something of a dark horse over this considerably longer trip but he could be well in if he lasts home.
- Artarmon
- Bill Cody
- Good Boy Alfie
