Former dual bumper winner who failed to add to those wins over hurdles for Ian Jardine. Well beaten on stable debut back on the Flat and although extra trip will help remains hard to make a case for.

Plenty of stamina in pedigree ahead of debut for stable struggling for winners at present and whose runners improve with experience. Worth a precautionary check in the betting.

Won her bumper debut before being well tried at Aintree. Made a bold bid from the front on Flat debut and can be involved again on first run for new stable.

Looked like he'd improve with experience when some late headway on debut. Extra distance a significant plus but plenty to find in this company.

Well held fourth on debut at Thirsk and although likely to improve for the run, has plenty to find with Kuragina.

Was getting into the argument when hampered on debut in April. Not seen since although has perhaps been waiting for soft ground. Can improve for the step up in trip and be competitive again.

Took a step forward when upped to this trip for a close fourth at Chepstow in June. Open to improvement on just her fourth start and sets a strong standard.

Forecasts

Tolkyn (11/10), Faldo (7/2), Kuragina (4/1), Just Wait (9/1), Lady Annalee (14/1), Bold Emperor (14/1), Jj's Journey (33/1), Loud And Clear (50/1)

Verdict

With the form of her last start working out well and her trainer's horses tending to improve with time, TOLKYN should be a worthy short-priced favourite on an easier surface which will likely suit. Lady Annalee is one to stay on the right side of after a very encouraging debut which may have been a winning one with more luck. Kuragina made a good impression in her bumper win and can improve on a good Flat debut.

  2. Lady Annalee
