Been out of form under both codes so far in 2018. ran with a bit more enthusiasm at Fontwell last time and not on a bad mark if he can build on that now.

Won first two starts for this yard then missed a year. Looked an improved animal when stepped up in trip to 2m6f last time when drawing right away. 6lb well in here under a penalty and likely to take some stopping if in the same mood here.

Out of form over fences through the summer and fared no better back over hurdles at Newton Abbot last time. Dropped 3lb now but much more needed to be involved.

All out to win off 5lb lower at Newton Abbot two starts back. Failed to follow-up back over fences last time when sent off a short priced favourite. This race is deeper than the one he won but should give a good account.

Been struggling to land a blow so far this summer. Given a chance by the handicapper last time but was beaten a long way. Needs to bounce back to his best to be involved in the finish here.

Placed in a point-to-point and a bumper for previous yard. Only minor promise so far in three efforts over hurdles. Type to do better now tackling handicaps and probably on a fair mark. Market should be a good guide to expectations.

Had shown steady improvement for going up in trip when landing back-to-back handicaps when last seen. On ly 3lb higher than for the last of those but has been off the track for nearly two years so has clearly had issues. Likely to need the run.

Not the most reliable of characters and it tends to be all or nothing. Pulled up on his final two starts at the beginning of the year. On a fair mark now though and Richard Johnson knows him well so any market support could be crucial.

Back to last winning mark now as a result of a very ordinary 2018. Slightly better latest when fourth of five dropped to a claimer but less optimistic here.

Fared pretty well on his return to action at Sedgefield last time. Should strip fitter now and is dropping to a tempting mark. Not a spring chicken anymore though and may find some younger legs hard to keep tabs on. Not won since 2015.

Went close in follow-up bid at Worcester last time having won well at Stratford previously. 7lb higher than for that win but going the right way and looks stable first string on jockey bookings.

Surprise winner of a Uttoxeter maiden hurdle in 2015 but very lightly-raced after that and struggled to match that form which came after a poor year on the Flat. Now returns from a long absence and can only be watched on comeback.

Forecasts

Mr Caffrey (9/4), David John (11/4), Bradford Bridge (5/1), His Dream (5/1), Boston Heather (8/1), Exitas (10/1), Kalifourchon (14/1), Lough Salt (20/1), Jalingo (20/1), Scottshill (25/1), Waltz Darling (33/1), Stonemadforspeed (40/1), Perfect Poison (40/1), Royal Sea (100/1)

Verdict

Boston Heather is a typical Dan Skelton improver and she looks set for another big run having won so easily over C&D two starts back. His Dream has turned the corner and will be in the mix once again if continuing his progression. Ready preference is for MR CAFFREY who relished the step up in trip when bolting up at Stratford last week. He's ahead of his mark under a penalty here and likely to take some stopping.
