Recorded a belated hat-trick on seasonal return over C&D but has failed to win from his revised mark since, despite going close on a couple of occasions. A return to five furlongs on soft ground quite possibly in his favour.
Won at Musselburgh on his debut and not disgraced in the Windsor Castle at Ascot on just his third start. Form has been inconsistent since though and soft ground is an unknown.
Hit and miss performer but 5f with cut in the ground is quite possibly his optimum conditions and he's won from higher marks before. The booking of Murphy is a boost to his claims and has place claims here. Likes to be ridden prominently.
C&D winner here and the start of the 2017 season and got his head back in front at Thirsk earlier in the campaign. Generally consistent and can be forgive his run when he failed to get to the lead at Chester last time.
Inconsistent sort but he's a three-time C&D winner from eight runs at the course and he didn't get much of a pace to aim at Windsor last time out. May be capable of bouncing back.
Won twice last year and while her seasonal return was a respectable effort at Wolverhampton in March, that's the only time she's seen the racecourse this year. Entitled to need the run and all her best form has come on quicker ground.
Best form so far has come at Nottingham and took advantage of a reduced mark to win there before being held off 6lb higher there last time. Down 2lb but would prefer a quicker surface.
Got his head back in front two starts back at Wolverhampton but well beaten last time out at Musselburgh and all his best form has come on quicker ground or an AW surface.
Was in fine form towards the end of last season and got her head back in front at Ripon on seasonal return. Form since has been well below that standard and hard to recommend at present.
Still a maiden after four starts and while it was a respectable effort on handicap debut when last seen, the significant absence has to be a concern. Starts out for a new yard having cost 26,000 gns in the interim.
Ended a long losing run at Newcastle on his seasonal return and got his head back in front again at Musselburgh last month. Disappointed a little in follow up bid at Wolverhampton though and out of the handicap here.
Has only managed one win in 20 starts. Performed respectably from well out of the handicap last time out at York but hasn't always been the type to follow a promising performance with another.

Course and distance winner ACCLAIM THE NATION looks like the solid option in a wide open race and it's worth forgiving his run at Chester last time out with the likelihood he remains in good form. Sheepscar Lad is another with course form to his name with conditions likely to suit while Bashiba should be far away if he gets a pace to aim at.
