Plenty to like about the mares' performances since the Galway festival last month. Likable type who should be in the mix.
25 race maiden ran well to finish runner-up in a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in July but has generally disappointed since in a couple of below-par performances since.
Nothing of note in a number of dismal displays in a trio of bumpers since May. Easily resistible on recent form.
Encouraging third of 13 in a Tramore hurdle last month but remains a 22-race maiden and losing run looks set to continue here.
Fortunate to finish second last time out in a 2m3f Downpatrick maiden before a never nearer sixth of 13 beaten a little over 8L at Down Royal last month. Liable to find a couple stronger here.
Solid point-to-point form since May winning one and finishing runner-up in another but well held when suffering a 59L set back on debut at Downpatrick when last seen in July. Hard to fancy in first-time cheekpieces.
Generally well held when never nearer in three maiden hurdle starts to date, despite finishing positions. Market check in first-time cheekpieces.
Has failed to build on a promising second of 17 beaten a short-head in limerick maiden hurdle in July. Place claims at best.
Definite promise in a number of starts since April including in a Downpatrick 2m3f maiden hurdle when beaten a little over 1L on good ground. Likely to run well once again.
Appeared to be a little one-paced on maiden hurdle debut at Tipperary when last seen in May, beaten 31L. Plenty more needed in this group.
Perhaps needed the comeback on return to the track when finishing eighth of 15 beaten 19L in a Tramore handicap hurdle last month. Not ruled out but a couple of disappointing maiden starts to shake off.
Beaten a total of 123L in a couple of maiden hurdle spins in May 2017. Hard to place any faith in.
Not disgraced in three bumper starts before a promising fourth of 24 beaten a little over 12L on hurdling debut in a 2m Cork maiden last month. One for the shortlist in this company.
Forecasts
Biddy The Boss (2/1), Isle Of Destiny (7/2), Boragh Beat (9/2), Play At Midnight (6/1), Caerleon Kate (14/1), Eimear (14/1), Kilbarry Calling (14/1), Harrys Gift (16/1), Derecho Storm (20/1), Day Day (33/1), Do You Know What (40/1), Sizeable Sting (66/1), Champagne Nova (100/1)
The Joseph O'Brien stable appears to be firing in both codes currently and his filly BORAGH BEAT can inprove on her promising hurdling debut last month by taking the prize before her more fancied rivals Isle Of Destiny from the Gordon Elliott yard and the consistent and improving Biddy The Boss. Harrys Gift is not without ability and is a worth each way proposition.
- Boragh Beat
- Biddy The Boss
- Isle Of Destiny
