Very useful hurdler on fast ground at this sort of trip. Mostly campaigned over fences in the last two years but won at Aintree when last tackling hurdles (June 17). Only 1lb higher than that but two chase runs this summer below par.
C&D winner last time out under today's jockey where he defied a welter-burden to score off a career high mark. Another 5lb added here so task only gets tougher but clearly going the right way.
C&D winner last summer but now some 22lb higher having won twice more since. Won a decent prize at Warwick penultimately before stepping up in class and finishing midfield at Market Rasen. Can go well here and had a wind-op since last run.
Better strike rate over fences and probably best at around 2m4f. Won here over fences in June before well beaten in a hot Market Rasen handicap. Ran flat latest at Worcester too so returns to hurdles now seeking a spark.
Six-time hurdle winner whose record on fast ground is particularly good. Won under today's jockey when last seen over timber before contesting two hot staying handicaps on the flat. Conditions here will suit and first-time visor added.
Forecasts
Innocent Touch (13/8), Mister Universum (11/4), Cool Sky (11/4), Mad Jack Mytton (8/1), Cut The Corner (11/1)
INNCOENT TOUCH seems to be an improving hurdler and this recent C&D winner can defy a rise from the handicapper to take another step up the ladder. Cool Sky is most feared of the rivals and he is a pretty smart hurdler on quick ground. Mister Universum, the youngest horse in the field is also of some interest for the prolific Skelton team.
