Brother to the yard's Sioux Nation, showed much-improved form to win a Naas maiden (5f, good) earlier in the week. Now goes handicapping with renewed optimism despite a penalty for that win.

Took a 6f Naas maiden last time in good style back in July, having previously run well in Group 2 company. Goes handicapping and should have more to say for himself.

Ran well in Listed Curragh contest over this trip a fortnight ago, having previously scored at Bellewstown and Down Royal. Entitled to be in the thick of things.

AW winner over this trip on debut in April, not disgraced next time in Listed company. Off since below-par effort at Curragh (5f, good to firm) in June, should be capable of better still in time.

Lightly-raced colt, scored over 6f at the Curragh a fortnight ago with best of his efforts to date. Appeared to be saving a little for himself, so a 6lb rise far from insurmountable now. Work to do with Tenax on previous meeting.

Had Lord Rapscallion (won next time out, re-opposes) behind in third when landing a Tipperary maiden (5f, good to firm) early last month. Should be competitive on handicap bow.

Makes handicap debut and is 7lb wrong, riders' claim helps but will need a big step forward surely to take this.

Forecasts

Bailly (11/4), Tenax (11/4), North Wind (9/2), Isle Of Innisfree (5/1), Lord Rapscallion (6/1), Offline (9/1), Dragons Call (20/1)

Verdict

Tough job ruling any of these out, with the betting likely to prove informative. Isle Of Innisfree improved to win at Naas this week but carries a penalty now and, with the yard in form, preference is for stablemate NORTH WIND. He scored in a Naas maiden and has form at Group 2 level, this could be within his wheelhouse. Handicap debutant Tenax is much-respected, given the manner in which Lord Rapscallion scored at the Curragh having chased him home previously in a maiden at Tipperary.
  1. North Wind
  2. Tenax
  3. Lord Rapscallion
