Six-race maiden hurdler who produced an improved effort when finishing fifth at Roscommon last time out. Worth a check in the market in his contest.

Not having a great summer and has been beaten a long way on his last three starts. Blinkers that were on first time at Fontwell two weeks ago are quickly disposed of and young rider aboard.

Rewarded for a string of consistent efforts when winning at Bangor (2m3½f, good) last time. That wasn't a strong race and is up 6lb, but much more to recommend him than many of these and sure to run his race.

Won a maiden point-to-point in June. Three starts over hurdles haven't shown a great deal but moves into handicaps off a realistic ark and the step up in trip should really help too. Market move would be significant.

Won two of his five starts post wind surgery for Dan Skelton. Starts life for new yard today but may be that the handicapper has caught up with him now.

Had a valid excuse for poor run last time and if concentrating on earlier efforts, including a win at Perth in May, it gives him every chance of success. Another to consider in a wide-open event.

Been running consistently well of late over fences without managing to get his head in front. Rated higher over hurdles which makes life tougher but is one of the few in here with solid recent form.

Only one start over hurdles when beaten a long way in a maiden hurdle. Been running over fences of late with credit since switching to handicaps and capable of getting involved if putting best foot forward.

Form had really tailed off for previous yard and starts life for a new team today. If the change of scenery sparks her into life then she would have sound claims as she is very well handicapped. Usual cheekpieces left off here.

Ran well over 3m the last twice at Perth. Always looks a bit once paced but this marathon trip around here promises to suit and would have a big shout if able to build on those last two efforts.

Still a maiden as a ten-year-old so unlikely there is any improvement left in the locker. Disappointing last time but would have claims if returning to the form of his close second at Southwell in May.

Has put in some better efforts since undergoing wind surgery earlier in the year. Disappointed at Perth last time but that wasn't his true running after some early errors and capable of bouncing back.

Managed to win a handicap chase at Newton Abbot (3m2f, good) last time off a 4lb lower mark. Reverts back to hurdles here in a more competitive heat but is in good heart and stays real well so sounds claims of going well again.

Verdict

Midnight Queeen was a good winner over fences last time and these conditions hold no fears for her in a follow-up bid back over hurdles. The Boola Bee should be more competitive now she moves up in trip and into handicaps. We are going to take a chance that the change of scenery will spark WYFIELD ROSE back into life. She looks dangerously well handicapped on her old form and can bounce back to form.
