Much improved when 7¼L fourth of 13 to Global Conqueror in 1m maiden at Leicester in June, albeit getting the run of things in front. Hasn't matched that form in two starts since, the latest at Deauville last month.
High Chaparral half-brother to useful winner up to 1m Aspen Mountain out of a well-related 6f winner. Stablemate of Alliteration, and market should indicate which one is favoured.
By High Chaparral and from an excellent Juddmonte Farms family, but sold very cheaply as a two-year-old and has looked very limited on a couple of starts this summer.
Has been unlucky to bump into improving sorts on a number of occasions this year, and had been running consistently well until a rare poor effort at Chelmsford (AW debut) last month. Should bounce back, and one to consider.
Out of a 1m listed winner, herself out of smart juvenile sprinter Superstar Leo. Favourite for both starts to date, and improved when 10L second to Existential at Nottingham last time. Steps up markedly in trip now.
Beginning to look very expensive at 400,000 gns, and gelded since a poor effort in a 1¼m maiden at Newbury in May. Powerful connections happy to persevere, though, which does give some encouragement.
Cost £160,000 as a yearling for connections of Magical Sight, but offloaded last year for just 800 gns, and soundly-beaten last of 3 on debut at Wolverhampton. Tongue tie reached for now.
Has the pedigree of a miler and hasn't been getting home over further in handicaps this year. Not disgraced at Musselburgh last time, but still didn't see things out despite dictating a steady pace.
New Approach filly out of Oaks fourth Vow and cost 100,000 gns as a yearling. Shaped better than bare result from awkward draw on debut at Kempton in July, and type to improve considerably.
Forecasts
King Lud (5/4), Magical Sight (7/4), Lilypad (5/1), Mazboon (8/1), Crimson Skies (12/1), Alliteration (25/1), Alonso Cano (50/1), Constituent (100/1), Azalia (100/1)
It's possible that Magical Sight will improve again at this trip, but she's not guaranteed to stay on pedigree, and preference is for KING LUD, who can be forgiven a below-par run on his AW debut last time, and who sets a solid standard on his turf efforts. Lilypad has something to find on form, but is bred to be useful at this trip, and could well improve enough on a promising Kempton debut to take a hand in the finish.
