Only 1lb higher than his win at Beverley three starts ago, so well enough handicapped, but has turned in two much lesser efforts since then. Some rain would help his cause, but clearly comes with risks.
Tends to race at shorter trips than today but seemed to get the trip fine when trying it at Beverley in July. As such, might have a bit more to come at the trip and from a decent draw, couldn't be ruled out.
Four times a winner but not at this trip, although he rarely tries it and given he's been staying on late over 6f recently, it could suit. Fairly enough handicapped and if cheating a moderate draw, may go well.
Infrequent winner, on a good mark these days but that's down to a series of moderate efforts this year and he was beaten out of sight at Pontefract last time. Percentage call is to look elsewhere for the winner.
Irish raider that came good at Ayr over this trip two starts ago but the handicapper reacted badly to the win and he found life harder last time out at Dundalk. In good form and conditions probably fine, but needs more now.
Tumbling down the handicap and now a stone lower than he was this time last year, but on recent evidence he shows no signs of being able to take advantage. trip on the short side too. Others preferred.
In good form and has a decent record at the track, one win and two places from five starts here and still on the same mark as a close second at Musselburgh last time. Poor draw is the worry but that aside, plenty going for her here.
Was going nowhere this season until springing back to life at Thirsk last time out, finishing second to an in-form rival. Won't mind a bit of rain, on a winning mark and could have been drawn worse, so every chance of going one better.
Has improved for going handicapping and went close to getting off the mark at Wolverhampton last time, going down half a length. Cheekpieces added tonight, should handle some cut and if progressing again, has chances.
Winner at Catterick in April and didn't run too badly over C&D in May either, but last couple of efforts rather suggest he's gone off the boil. Nicely handicapped if he can bounce back, but a risky proposition at the moment.
Running with some consistency at present but equally he looks like the handicapper has his measure at the moment. Stiff track may not be ideal either, and may be biting off more than he can chew.

Ventura Secret (11/4), Curly Girl (4/1), Harbour Approach (7/1), Desert Dream (9/1), Inglorious (11/1), Shouranour (11/1), Forever A Lady (12/1), Khelman (14/1), Dasheen (14/1), Redrosezorro (20/1), Somewhere Secret (22/1), Wediddodontwe (25/1)
An open looking contest but KHELMAN dropped a big hint last time out that his turn wasn't far away, and with conditions fine, he can score here. Harbour Approach should have some improvement in him and with the new headgear added tonight, can prove the main danger. Plenty hold place chances, with Somewhere Secret and Forever A Lady heading up the list.
