Cost €20,000 and is a half-sister to a handful of winners. Won with authority on debut at Kempton - that form has already been franked. Sound claims despite having to give weight away.
Has several winners in her bloodlines and has scope to improve as she gains in experience, possibly when she is stepped up in trip at a later stage. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and looks a long-term prospect.

Cost 13,000 gns and bred to get at least 1m2f in due course. The filly made little impact on her debut run at Kempton and needs to step things up quite considerably if she is going to play any sort of part here.

A €15,000 purchase, the filly has a modest pedigree but ought to be suited by at least a mile and, as she represents an in-form yard, is worth a check in the betting.

A very cheap purchase who never really looked like landing a telling blow on debut at Redcar. Makes limited appeal on that evidence and isn't difficult to expect she will find a few too good once more.

Forecasts

Meringue (8/11), Canavese (6/4), Capla Flyer (5/1), Little India (14/1), Silk Island (50/1), Indian Sea (66/1)

Verdict

Hard to escape the claims of MERINGUE, who won in a pleasing manner on her debut and has been found a very reasonable chance of giving her rivals weight and a beating. Little India represents and in-form yard that has a good record at this course, so merits a check in the betting on her racecourse bow, while Capla Flyer showed a little promise on debut at Chelmsford and could very easily get involved in the shake-up if she's thrived since her debut run.
