Lost his way over hurdles after a promising start, pulled up last twice. Winner on the AW last week at Chelmsford over 2m½f so comes into this in form but a few nagging doubts back over obstacles.
Off exactly a year after winning first two starts for this yard. Three starts seen a hat-trick of seconds all over around 2m4f. Latest run suggested this step up to 2m6f may suit and has to be considered a likely sort.
Dual 2017 winner for Olly Murphy not added to that this year. Threatened to get involved last time but again his jumping was his downfall in a never nearer fourth. Previous attempt over this far looked a doubtful stayer.
In and out type who won on return over 3m2½f but has ran two shockers since with a third sandwiched in between. Not sure what to expect with him and this trip raises more doubts so safest to look elsewhere.
Kept on the go since winning at Sedgefield over a year ago. Run some decent races in defeat since including latest third at Bangor over 2m7f but handicap the same here so again place looks best he can expect.
Best run to date over hurdles latest here over 2m2½f in a novices handicap. Handicap left unchanged for this first step out of novice company and interesting with this much longer trip today.

Forecasts
Mr Caffrey (5/4), Macksville (7/2), Tynecastle Park (4/1), Danceintothelight (7/1), Knight Commander (11/1), Stonemadforspeed (14/1), Generous Chief (25/1)
This looks a decent chance for MR CAFFREY to end a spell of second-itus by landing the spoils against rivals with plenty of question marks among them. Macksville is an interesting sort based on his last run here particularly now upped significantly in trip. Knight Commander can jump erratically but the champion jockey may be the man to help in this area so he isn't to be underestimated today.
- Mr Caffrey
- Macksville
