Showed some promise on debut at Thirsk (7f, good to soft) in July, but took a backward step when tried here over C&D last time. May make greater appeal in nurseries.
Made a promising debut when less than 4L fourth on debut at Lingfield (6f, AW) in May. Has been given time before this turf debut and ought to be suited by this longer trip. Claims.
4-1 on debut at Ripon, but slowly away and green before making late headway. Beaten 11½L there (1m, good). Should be capable of a fair bit better, judging by those apparent market expectations.
€40,000 yearling. Dam 6f-7f AW maiden, half-sister to Listed winners Freedoms Light (1m4f), Face The Facts (2m) and Oh Beautiful (French 12.5f). Stable 13% with turf juveniles this season, so check market for clues.
9-2 and made a pleasing debut when beaten less than 3L at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) last month. Looked as though she could come on a fair bit for that, so should be very much in the mix here.
130,000gns foal, 50,000gns yearling. Half-sister to five winners inc Ennaad (1m AW inc at two), Foolaad (5f-7f inc AW), Mezyaad (1m2f) and Hersigh (7f/1m AW at two). Dam 1m-1m2f winner (inc AW Listed). Promising pedigree. Market check.
5-2 but never managed to get on terms on debut when beaten over 7L at Leicester (6f, good to firm) last month. Should benefit for that experience and may be a different proposition this time.
12-1 and not without promise on debut at Ayr (7f good), when 4L fourth of eight. Improvement anticipated.
50-1 and well held on debut when last of 11 at Carlisle (6f, soft) recently. Cheekpieces called for, but can only watch this time.
38,000gns yearling. Closely related to 1m juvenile winner Ninetta, half-sister to five winners inc Pouvoir Absolu (1m4f inc triple Listed). Dam placed 1m, full-sister to Arc winner Peintre Celebre. Stable juveniles 13% this season. Market check.
50-1 and never able to land a serious blow when 12½L eighth of 11 on debut at Redcar (7f, good) recently. Others preferred.

Forecasts
Hawthorn Rose (6/4), Brassica (9/4), Canton Queen (7/1), Katiejay (8/1), Inaugurate (8/1), Inajuma (12/1), Delectable (14/1), Encore Mam'selle (16/1), Lincoln Tale (25/1), Anna Bunina (40/1), Swiss Lady (100/1), Lakme (100/1)
A very tricky opener, where HAWTHORN ROSE might be good enough to provide the answer. Sir Michael Stoute's filly made a decent debut at Newmarket and might appreciate this slightly firmer surface. With any natural improvement for that first run, she should be a major player. Brassica has a similar profile, along with Canton Queen and it is not easy to assess who will take the biggest step up on their first effort. Delectable and Inaugurate were both a shade disappointing first time, but went off short enough to suggest that there is some ability within. Keep and eye on the market with regard to the newcomers, of whom Inajuma perhap makes most appeal.
