Only went down a head on bumper debut and after being well beaten in two starts returned to that level behind a clear-cut winner. Hard to weigh up on Flat debut but others preferred.

Son of Frankel ran a race full of promise on debut before winning with a bit in hand on his second start over further. Drop back in trip not necessarily a plus but clearly has potential to progress and looks a leading contender.

Won two bumpers but couldn't open account over hurdles when trained by Ian Jardine. Stable debut but likely to need further than this on first Flat start..

Bred in the purple as a son of Frankel and multiple Group 1 winner Midday. Was too green to do himself justice on debut but improved out of sight when making all at Windsor. Got the run of things out in front but open to plenty of improvement.

Ran a promising race in a strong contest on debut and duly stepped up with a very easy win on his second start. Makes AW debut but his turf form sets a strong standard and looks the one to beat.

Gelded son of Dutch Art whose price reduced from €160,000 as a yearling to 10,000 gns in February. Looks best watched on debut.

Son of Dark Angel who cost €60,000 as a yearling and was well beaten at triple figure odds on debut. Best watched in this company.

Has started at enormous odds in all four starts to date and beaten out of sight on each occasion. Impossible to make a case for.

Well held in both starts to date that makes her difficult to fancy. Likely to do better in handicaps after this over further.

Daughter of Passing Glance who wasn't disgraced on debut at Doncaster. Likely to benefit for the experience but fair bit more required in this company.

Forecasts

Spanish Archer (8/11), Midi (11/4), Formula One (11/4), Fronsac (14/1), Loud And Clear (25/1), Forewarning (28/1), Call Me Madam (33/1), Alexis Carrington (80/1), Langho (100/1), Elwadi (100/1), No Civil Justice (150/1)

Verdict

SPANISH ARCHER sets a very strong standard after he won with plenty in hand on his second start when travelling well and showing a smart turn of foot. Midi, being out of Midday and by Frankel is impeccably bred and will generate plenty of attention after a much improved performance on his second start. He did get to set slow fractions there and this will be tougher but is of obvious potential. Formula One, rates another danger although he may need further in time. He's also by Frankel and yet another son of the great, Fronsac, has potential but needs to settle better in the preliminaries.
  1. Spanish Archer
  2. Midi
  3. Formula One
