Consistent sort is probably a victim of that profile hence his two from 25 win ratio. Good third again latest over 1m at Killarney sees him raised a further 1lb. Soft ground form is a significant worry so would want the ground to dry out.

Yet to win in eight starts for this yard but showed glimpses of his old ability in midfield here latest over 7f when not beaten far. Gets a further 3lb back so will be hoping to play a significant part now.

Twice went down by small margins over C&D with back to back seconds before shade disappointing at Cork latest. That run can probably be excused so should play a leading role again back at this clearly suitable C&D.

Gowran maiden winner ran well in first handicap outing at Leopardstown when third but some way short of that at Galway latest on yielding ground. Likelihood of similar conditions here raises a few doubts.

C&D maiden winner two starts back was beaten 2½L into fifth on handicap debut at Roscommon over 7½f when encountering soft ground for the first time. Still has plenty of potential for handicaps over this sort of trip so is respected.

Won an ordinary 1m Leopardstown handicap in May, and similar form in defeat since, finishing a respectable 3¼L fifth of 9 to Signing Off at same track last time. Tries new trip now and not guaranteed it will suit.

Maiden was just touched off on handicap debut over 7½f at Roscommon (soft) last time out. Raised 2lb today but that not enough to temper enthusiasm and she is a leading contender for an in-form stable.

Not been able to compete since harshly raised 12lb for Gowran win back in June. Handicap falling steadily since so hopefully do better soon but others appeal as better treated.

Maiden of 10 starts ran possibly his best race so far when second of 15 at Galway over 7f two starts ago before seemingly not staying 1m2f last time at Ballinrobe. Back to favourable trip now and enjoys cut in the ground so has claims.

Maiden ran best race to date over 7½f at Roscommon latest on soft ground although he flashed his tail under pressure and had to settle for second. Probably improving so merits respect although tail flashing a little worrying.

Maiden of 19 starts showed little to encourage lately and tries another new trip and first-time headgear in an attempt to find the missing link. Others have stronger claims.

Maiden has been beaten a long way in all three handicap starts so far after some promise in maidens. Handicap tumbling and more headgear added but on the whole he's hard to fancy.

Dropped back in trip to land a Wolverhampton 7f handicap on AW last time. Raised 7lb for that here which makes life considerably tougher and turf form seems a little short of AW so far.

December AW winner has yet to make the frame on turf and three starts this summer all seen her well beaten. Hard to make a case at present.

Maiden wasn't disgraced on handicap debut when sixth beaten 2½L at Galway over 7f. A little more needed but she's lightly raced so could be capable of it yet.

Forecasts

Kailee (6/1), Mr Ormsby (15/2), Simiyna (9/1), King Of Leinster (9/1), Vocal Music (10/1), Rapture's Delight (10/1), Waterboy (10/1), Tough Spirit (10/1), Fuwairt (10/1), Smart Stinger (12/1), Bercasa (16/1), Iron Blue (16/1), Delegating (16/1), Descendant (20/1), Daubney's Dream (40/1)

Verdict

Dermot Weld's string seem to have really hit top form of late and his filly SIMIYNA can land the spoils here. She ran really well at Roscommon last time and looks likely to progress further. Kailee was narrowly beaten over C&D twice before not quite running her race at Cork. Tough Spirit is a filly who could have more to come and she is considered also.
