Didn't show much on recent return to action on the Flat but may have needed the run and could be cherry ripe for this. Gone well at this course without winning but does look to face a stiff test from 6lb higher than her last winning mark.
Irish raider that has held his own in similar races in his homeland so has to be respected. Stays the trip but might not want too much rain to sink into the ground. A betting check is advisable.
Only modest form posted in novices events prior to finishing well beaten on his handicap debut when last seen out. Undergone wind surgery since and probably best watched on this occasion.
Not stood too much racing and his career is punctuated with a series of long absences. Does have ability though and possible this step up in trip will bring some improvement, so is another worth bearing in mind if attracting support in the betting.
Gone well here in the past but been beset by training issues over the years, so comes with risks attached. Yard does well at this course but the gelding needs to post a much better effort than the one he consented to display at Southwell last month.
Won of this race last year from just a 4lb lower mark, so very feasible chance of a repeat at the weights. Notable his yard had other options for this race and a positive move in the betting market could be a valuable pointer. Has to be shortlisted.
Drops in trip after finding 3m too testing in his last two outings, but respected on the pick of his form. Comes with the caveat that his best efforts were recorded on flatter surfaces so remains to be seen how he'll handle this undulating course.
Caught the eye to win at Southwell 11 days ago and is still potentially very well treated despite picking up the 7lb penalty. Very dangerous to underestimate with the champion jockey (first of 3 interesting rides on the card) back in the plate.
A previous course winner that has dropped to a handy mark, the mare dropped a significant hint that she's thriving when second at Perth earlier in the month. More to do but holds fair place claims in this company.
A six-time winner at this course and likely to handle whatever conditions the heavens open up to him. He's also well handicapped and could easily capitalise if any mishaps befall his main rivals on this notoriously tricky course. Sound place claims.
Has shown a liking for this course and is versatile regarding the ground. But not been at his best since he left Sue Smith's yard and needs to show a lot more resilience than of late if he's going to make the most of his current lenient mark.
Failed to get off the mark in 11 modest attempts over in Ireland and his three starts for his current yard have been much the same. Others much more convincing.
Yet to start a race at odds below 33/1 and has so far run accordingly. Soon tailed off and pulled up on her latest start so looks fairly safe to leave out of the betting plans.

A handful of these appeal as shortlist material - none more so than BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, who responded to win in a pleasing manner for Richard Johnson last time out and the partnership is likely to be tough to overhaul despite a 7lb penalty for that Southwell victory 11 days ago. Last year's winner of this race, Irish Hawke, can ensure this is a good test and is a worthy alternative, while Louloumills and Sendiym both like this course and may be wily enough to scrap it out as the best of the rest.
