Free-going front runner who has won twice this season, proving better than ever when scoring gamely at Brighton (1¼m, soft) last time. Likely to give another good account on a track which will suit.
Three wins last year for Ed Walker at up to 1¼m, improving a total of 25lb. Nowhere near his best in two runs for new yard this year, however, and blinkers he wore last time are discarded.
Novice stakes winner at Salisbury (1m, good-to-soft) last September and ran well when finishing second at that trip on first two starts this season. Didn't seem to stay 1¼m at Goodwood last time, but worth another try.
Built on promise of penultimate start when winning a handicap over this trip at Windsor last time. Had little to spare, though, and needs to improve if he's to defy even a small rise.
Over a year since lone turf win over 1¼m at Newmarket on soft ground. Went well a couple of times earlier this season, and handicapper has given him a chance, so respected now conditions have come in his favour.
Kept on well to score over this trip at Windsor last month, and better than the result when third at Lingfield last time. Should get good gallop he needs and not ruled out for all he's creeping up the weights.
Clearly benefited from his wind surgery with an impressive win last month over C&D, but did race on the best ground for that win, and couldn't repeat the effort at Newmarket last time.

Forecasts
Bathsheba Bay (9/4), Al Jellaby (4/1), Liva (9/2), Bid Adieu (5/1), The Emperor Within (5/1), Zzoro (11/2), El Borracho (10/1), Captain Courageous (25/1)
ZZORO missed an engagement at Goodwood yesterday to come here, and he can take advantage of a lenient mark now the ground has eased. Bid Adieu is getting his act together, and looks a big danger, assuming he and The Emperor Within don't get into a destructive battle for the lead. El Borracho would benefit from a strong gallop, so also enters the reckoning.

- Bid Adieu
- El Borracho
