Driven out to land the spoils as part of the trainers five-timer at Perth recently and sets the standard in this contest off a 7lb higher mark.
Returning from a break when finishing fifth over fences at Down Royal in May before a promising third of five at Sligo earlier this month in a spin over hurdles. Market likely to reveal expectations.
Still in front when falling six out in the La Touche before unseating rider when last seen at the Punchestown festival in April. 26-race maiden over the larger obstacles is possibly best watched coming back from a break.
Course winner that has also won over this trip. Beaten favourite when last seen finishing a disappointing fourth of nine over 15L adrift of the winner in a Down Royal handicap chase in May but a major player back at this track.
Not getting any younger and his last victory over fences came back in January 2015 off an 11lb higher mark. Liable to find a couple stronger.
Battle-hardened chaser who landed his second victory over fences in 34 starts in a Tramore 2m contest off a 5lb lower mark earlier this month. Likely to be involved in the finish.
C&D winner but that was over two years ago off a 13lb higher mark. Veteran who is clearly regressing, despite beaten a short-head recently in a weaker contest and others hold stronger profiles.
Has struggled in six starts since joining this yard and was well adrift of Ballyfinboy at Tramore earlier this month.
Forecasts
Cubomania (7/2), Ballyfinboy (4/1), Bellgrove (9/2), Jack Slade (11/2), Gentleman Duke (13/2), Leap Dearg (13/2), My Hometown (8/1), Nevada Rose (50/1)
Well-prepped for his chasing debut when winning at Perth recently as part of Gordon Elliott's 98/1 five-timer, CUBOMANIA appears to have been found an ideal opportunity to follow-up in this contest at the expense of the likes of Bellgrove, winner last time out under Davy Russell and course winner Jack Slade who can go well back on this surface.
- Cubomania
- Bellgrove
- Jack Slade
