Winner of this race in 2016 on his only previous visit and first start beyond 3m he rather lost his way for David Pipe after that. Appeared to show that he retained all his ability after a break for this yard (and his quirks); ran poorly last time.
Three-time winner since his wind op he's also thrown in a poor run after each win but like the other times bounced back last time to win over 2m6f here. Change to today's headgear may have helped and he looks an improved performer; career-high mark.
For all his consistency this year his three 2nd places prior to winning last time have masked his rather quirky and feint-hearted side. Travelled smoothly last time (as usual) and this time went through with his effort; up a further 4lb now.
Back from wind surgery and returned to hurdles after falling over fences here last time (water jump) and has never looked at home over the larger obstacles. Only completed once in his last five starts and fallen both starts for this yard.
Useful sort over hurdles who looks to need a real test to be seen at his best and showed that when doing his best work late on over 2m6f here in July. Drops back to his last winning mark with cheekpieces reached for now and needs a real test.
Three-time course winner (all over shorter) his form over 3m plus reads 3P33; he does looks a rejuvenated individual (had wind op earlier in the year). Looked set to build on his earlier win here (2m6f) last time (fell last); chance if he stays.
Very lightly-raced of late and back from a long absence last time at Perth (showed he retains his ability) over 3m when runner to a well supported winner. Unlucky to bump into a well handicapped one; still features off a good mark.
Useful on his day over hurdles/fences he has become increasingly lazy and quirky of late although the removal of any headgear (and a reduced mark) saw him run better over C&D last time. Not sure to repeat that however and remains a risky proposition.
Both his runs over this trip have come at this course in this race finishing 2nd to Ennistown (2016) before finishing last of 6 (2017). Failed to really click over shorter trips this year mostly here; not one to have total faith in at the moment.
Fair hurdler when trained in France (various stables) with her only win coming over fences in a claimer at Auteuil (2m2f, soft). Shown very little in two starts over hurdles for this yard so far and now tried over even further than last two starts.

Court King (3/1), Nautical Nitwit (4/1), Ennistown (4/1), Wynford (5/1), Volcanic (8/1), Allbarnone (8/1), William Of Orange (11/1), Boruma (12/1), Island Heights (14/1), Samsara (20/1), Minella Charmer (50/1)
The 2016 winner Ennistown returns for another crack at this prize although he’s now with a different yard and off a 6lb higher mark and enters off the back of a poor run last time out. Wynford will be an interesting ride for Harry Skelton as he needs to be delivered just at the right time and the long run-in may give him time to think a little too much. Don McCain who won this last year is two-handed this time and both William Of Orange and Volcanic can be given chances although both have their stamina to prove. ALLBARNONE has form that is hard to fault here and he’s taken to just outbattle another strong stayer in Nautical Nitwit with Island Heights worth a glance off his lenient mark.
