Won back-to-back 1m2f handicaps in June and ran well twice since in valuable contests at York and Newmarket (July). Handicapper has him on a tight rein but progressive enough to again be heavily involved.
Easy wins at Doncaster and Newmarket came at a price as he struggled with 10lb more at Ascot latest. Lone run beyond 1m some time ago and inconclusive so worth another go but handicapper may have caught up.
Dual winner this season and again ran well latest when beaten ½L at Sandown (first two well clear). Up a further 6lb today so life doesn't get any easier but not ruled out given his progressive nature.
Off the mark latest over 1m2f at Beverley when coming with a strong run from off the pace to secure the victory. 7lb higher now and up in class here but trainer's charges can progress rapidly so deserves maximum respect.
1m1f winner here in May but not as effective here the last twice with higher marks. Others appear better treated based on recent evidence.
1m2f winner at Sandown two starts ago looked a non-stayer when upped to 1m4f for the first time at Ascot latest. Can resume progress back at this trip despite now higher mark and is one for the shortlist.
Battling successes the last twice including when edging out Jack Regan at Sandown have showed him to be of a good attitude. More needed once again with 7lb rise but going the right way and has a leading rider up.
C&D winner in May narrowly prevailed again latest in a three-runner Chepstow handicap. Gets an additional 2lb now and this considerably tougher.

Hamlul (15/8), Victory Chime (4/1), Knight Errant (6/1), Jack Regan (13/2), Beringer (7/1), Jazeel (10/1), Escalator (14/1), Sing Out Loud (20/1), Lawn Ranger (25/1)
Sir Michael Stoute's runners seem to be coming into top form and recent Beverley score HAMLUL is the sort of progressive slow developer the master trainer excels with so he gets the nod under the excellent James Doyle. Knight Errant and Jack Regan had a titanic tussle at Sandown last time out and both of these improving sorts should make their presence felt once again.
- Hamlul
- Knight Errant
- Jack Regan
