Failed to land a hat-trick of wins in a 2m4½f novice hurdle at the Galway festival earlier this month on soft ground. Better expected here in smaller field and a leading player.

Overcame a distressing last fence fall at Bellewstown when bouncing back to win a 2m5f Roscommon maiden hurdle earlier this month on good ground getting off the mark at the seventh time of asking for connections. Another bold show looks likely.

Kept on well to keep a remote third of 17 beaten 19L in a Cork maiden hurdle earlier this month over 2m3f on good ground. May struggle in this company.

Sapphire Lady (1/1), Dinons (5/2), Eamon High (6/1), Causey Arch (13/2), Percy Veer (25/1)

Verdict

With both yards in tip top form it could be left to Gordon Elliott and his gallant five-year-old DINONS to land the spoils here to follow up his win at Roscommon earlier this month seeing of the challenge of the two Willie Mullins charges Causey Arch and the Ruby Walsh-ridden Sapphire Lady following a courageous defeat at the hands of Calie Du Mesnil at the Galway festival earlier this month.
  1. Dinons
  2. Sapphire Lady
  3. Causey Arch
