Beaten a short-head by the useful Highly Sprung over C&D earlier this year but struggled a little with higher marks since. Pitched into a tougher contest latest but ought to be competitive again at this level.
5f winner at Chelmsford in April seems to have completely lost his way on turf this summer and recent efforts been alarming. Hard to fancy at the present time.
Ian Jardine couldn't add to the two-year-old success this gelding achieved for Roger Charlton and now he changes yard again. Handicap now attractive against his best form so dangerous if new trainer can find a spark.
Placed in all four starts since landing a double in the Spring. Handicapper keeps up the pressure but she always overcomes it and as a 7f and 6f winner this stiff 6f could prove right up her street.
Carlisle novice winner was far from disgraced on her handicap debut at Newbury where she finished second of five. Same handicap mark here and her Newmarket trainer not travelled North without good reason.
Likes it here as shown by his two C&D wins. Handicap continues to slide and now just 3lb higher than his C&D success earlier this year and that is offset by jockey's claim. Should make a bold bid today.
Newcastle winner on the AW last time out is one from 17 on turf but that came over C&D back in 2016. Not disgraced in last turf start but 4lb climb for his Newcastle success likely to make life tougher now.
Dual C&D winner as a two-year-old on soft and heavy ground. Well beaten in recent races on quicker ground so enthusiasm tempered until he gets really testing conditions.
5f novice winner for Richard Hannon ran comfortably her best race for current connections latest when third at Catterick over 6f. Handicap mark unchanged so will hope to build on that positive effort.

Round The Island (11/4), Bibbidibobbidiboo (11/4), Power To Exceed (9/2), The Amber Fort (7/1), Van Gerwen (8/1), Sfumato (10/1), Campion (11/1), Dawn Breaking (11/1), Avenue Of Stars (20/1), Tavener (25/1)
POWER TO EXCEED is in-form Hugo Palmer's only runner here this afternoon and his travels could prove fruitful with this relatively unexposed filly having the potential to improve on her second at Newbury last time. Course specialist Round The Island may has crept back to a competitive handicap mark so he has likable claims. Ultra-consistent filly Bibbidibobbidiboo is another who should go close.
