420,000gns newcomer by New Approach is a half-brother to five winners including a Group One winner over 1m. Probably want further in time but represents top connections and likely to make presence felt on debut.
Only beat one home on debut over 1m at Carlisle before remote fifth of seven back to 6f on the AW at Newcastle. More needed and possibly one for handicaps after today.
Improved on debut effort when second at Thirsk latest over 1m. No chance with easy winner there but stayed on best of the rest. Form as good as any so can't be dismissed although others from big yards more appealing.
Newcomer by Excelebration cost €40,000 as a yearling and is half-brother to five winners most of which stayed middle distances. Hood worn on debut which is rarely a good sign and stable has few debut winners.
100,000gns Invincible Spirit colt was never a factor on debut in November at Doncaster (6f). Plenty of stamina on dam side so should appreciate 1m on belated return. Market may guide but respected due to the yard he represents.
Filly bred for middle distances finished sixth of ten on debut over an extended mile at Nottingham. Looked like she would appreciate further there so may be one for handicaps when stepped up in trip.
Bargain buy at just £1,200 is by Kheleyf and half-sister to a winner at 1m1f-1m6f. Trainer not known for winners on debut so appears pretty unlikely to get seriously involved here.
Forecasts
Yajooll (11/10), Hareeq (2/1), Move In Faster (7/1), Arctic Roll (10/1), Pinchpoint (12/1), Sunnyside Lady (33/1), Meadow Way (50/1)
Sir Michael Stoute could hardly of found a weaker looking race to start off the expensive, well-bred HAREEQ and it would be most surprising if this son of Derby hero New Approach doesn't go close here. He is taken to account for this modest looking field. William Haggas Yajooll is most feared and it would be disappointing if this son of Invincible Spirit doesn't show a little more than he did on his only previous run. Move In Faster has the best form in the book but doesn't set the bar particularly high for this less exposed pair.
