Competent and consistent in the point-to-point ranks, mare is lightly-raced under rules and has run best races in this sphere at this track. She was tailed off last month at Tipperary however.
Has gone 13 runs since 2017 without recording a win but plenty decent efforts within that sequence. Cheekpieces restored here and wouldn't like to dismiss claims.
Respectable fourth of 14 in handicap chase at Limerick (3m, good) last month in first-time blinkers (discarded). Cheekpieces back on now and capable of getting competitive.
Losing sequence now stands at 19 and dates back to 2016. Overall record is 6-78 and on best of recent efforts would be doing well to make the frame.
Grand old veteran has been in tremendous form this term before being pulled up when sent off favourite in a Wexford 3m1f handicap chase on soft ground in May, when found to be coughing. Worth a market check on return.
Scored over C&D in June, not really shaped with the same promise in subsequent starts at Tipperary and Killarney and needs to bounce back here.
22-race maiden under rules, though has posted solid efforts at Killarney and Tipperary (second) over this trip recently. Not suited by drop to 2m at Wexford last time and can go well back up in distance.
Presenting mare is just 1-50 under rules, with that success coming back in 2013. She did shape quite well at Roscommon (3m½f, good) this month but may not be set to repeat that down in trip.
C&D winner back in 2017, now a teenager but has produced a couple of solid efforts at Killarney and Roscommon lately over 2m4½f/3m½f. Would harbour place claims on similar form.
Well fended off last month in 2m4f Wexford handicap chase, has work to do but does get a useful 7lb claimer to assist the cause this time.
Off the boil and out of form in a number of starts since the turn of the year including a 79L defeat in a Tipperary beginners chase last month. Best avoided seemingly.
Raced on four occasions since October 2015, and those races were punctuated either side of absences. Plenty to prove (entered here Thursday).
0-5 previously over fences but has won back-to-back hurdle races at Limerick recently over 2m6f/3m. Much lower rated over these obstacles if showing similar application now.
Won this race last year (rated 7lb lower) and also scored at Galway near the end of last season. Pulled up in three starts either side of winter break, including 10 days ago at Roscommon.
Unable to halt the alarming slide in form since tasting success in a Downpatrick handicap chase over 2m6f off a 1lb lower mark over 12-months ago. Others preferred.
Has struggled in five starts since joining this yard, including in handicaps at Downpatrick and Wexford recently, requires a turnaround in fortunes.
Forecasts
Wee Tiger (6/4), Naughty Molly (6/1), Island Master (8/1), Old Supporter (10/1), Black Jewel (10/1), Roevin Star (10/1), Model Cloud (12/1), Castlewhite (16/1), Ballyfinboy (20/1), Betterthanalright (20/1), Precious Gold (25/1), Tomcoole Lad (25/1), Knockraha Prince (25/1), Touchy (33/1), Kilderry Prince (33/1), Nevada Rose (50/1)
WEE TIGER will be a big danger to all if transferring his recent for over hurdles to this game. His record previously over fences wasn't great but he could be thrown in off this rating should he show enthusiasm now. Old Supporter is getting on in year but has run well recently at Killarney and Roscommon and could find the frame while the likes Island Master and Roevin Star need considering along with Black Jewel, who wasn't suited dropping to 2m last time.
- Wee Tiger
- Black Jewel
- Old Supporter
