Newcomer who cost €6,000 as a yearling. Third foal of a dam who was juvenile 1m winner and still owned by his trainer; best watched for now.
Only a cheap purchase who showed very little on his debut albeit in better company at Chester (7f). Looked very green and while he will have leant from the experience it's hard to be positive about his chance.
Gelded and given a break after his debut (York seller) he returned to show a lot more again in selling grade but in an easier contest at Redcar over 6f. Still looked green and should come on for that run; stable in good form.
Tried in various company having already had 10 starts including in nurseries but looks fairly limited and hard to find many positives. Not progressing and has been beaten in five sellers; passed over here.
Trainer bids to maintain his unbeaten record (1-1) at the track with two-year-olds; has a 31% strike-rate with this age group in 2018. Has run well on both her starts for this yard although the 7f on testing ground appeared to find her out last time.
Clashes once again with her old rival Smashing Lass having just been touched off by that one when favourite over C&D last time. Now 6lb better off for a head beating her previous win shows her in a good light and a positive run is expected again.
Got off the mark on her 5th start beating Go Annie Go over C&D but has work to do at the weights with that one now. Needs to improve again to reverse that form and may come off second best this time around.
Forecasts
Capla Gilda (10/11), Es Que Magic (7/2), Go Annie Go (5/1), Smashing Lass (17/2), Notthewhitehart (16/1), The Fluter (40/1), Military Missile (66/1)
The largest field in this event for three years after the race was reduced to a match last year but it looks more competitive this time around. GO ANNIE GO is given the opportunity to reverse C&D form with Smashing Lass from late last month with the weights in favour of the David Evans filly this time around. Capla Gilda didn’t quite get home over 7f last time in testing conditions have pulled too hard in the early stages last time at Newmarket this shaper track and better ground will help as long as she settles this time.
- Go Annie Go
- Capla Gilda
- Smashing Lass
