Enjoyed a rich vein of form at the end of 2016 when he won three times in five races. Lightly raced since and just the one start this term when fading into eighth of 10. May come on for the run but others bring stronger recent form.

Six race maiden was beaten some 27L in only turf run to date, a 7f handicap at Lingfield. Midfield at Chelmsford after a break two weeks ago and will need to have come on significantly to feature.

6f winner at Lingfield on soft ground as a two-year-old missed all of 2017 season. Midfield in all three races this term at Chelmsford, Newmarket and Lingfield all over 7f. Eased again by the handicapper and looks a leading player.

Won three of her last five races all over C&D on good and good to firm ground. Handicapper keeps up the pressure and could face softer conditions here but seemingly on the up and has to rate a leading contender.

Won twice as a two-year-old but showed little this term in four starts including last twice here (10th of 12 and sixth of seven). Much improvement needed to be involved.

Golden Slam (5/4), La Isla Bonita (5/4), Late Change (11/8), Evening Attire (10/1), U S S Missouri (12/1), Toriano (16/1), Holy Tiber (20/1), Exchequer (25/1)

Verdict

A couple of these seem to be really enjoying their races at this course and preference is for the younger LATE CHANGE who won with plenty in hand last time out. She is well in with the 6lb penalty today. La Isla Bonita has won three times here but the handicapper may be close to catching up with her hence her being second choice today. Relatively unexposed Golden Slam may have met tougher opposition lately based on the courses he has raced at so he is not dismissed by any means and soft ground could suit him better than some.

  3. Golden Slam
