1m winner at Ripon this season on good ground has run well the last twice with seconds at Leicester and at Ayr both times under similar welter burdens to this. No reason he won't be as effective over 1m1f so bold bid likely.
Won last three starts last term but not disgraced in three this season off considerably higher mark. Winner over 1m, 1m1f and 1m2f but this trip might be her ideal. Bit more needed with handicapper yet to take any chances on her.
Placed in last six starts including three seconds in as many starts for this yard. Paying the price handicap-wise for his consistency but in current form he is expected to go well once again.
Chelmsford AW winner couldn't follow up as favourite on turf at Newbury although did little wrong in third (of eight). Extra 1f here may be in his favour and likelihood that he can further improve in handicaps so rated a leading contender.
First-time handicapper showed potential with a decent third at Goodwood in May before less inspiring effort at Chelmsford latest. Better will be needed in a competitive looking race.
Back to his last winning mark from Goodwood (1m2f) in June. Seven starts since but after a trio of placed runs he flopped at Brighton latest. This will be third run in 13 days and bounce back required.
Lone career success came here over 7f and done plenty of racing at the track. Beaten 2¼L into third at Newmarket (July) latest which gives him a chance. Not sure he appreciates cut in the ground which he is likely to encounter here.
Forecasts
Courtside (1/1), Oh It's Saucepot (6/1), Kharbetation (7/1), Stormingin (8/1), Slow To Hand (17/2), Leigh's Law (9/1), Danzay (20/1)
COURTSIDE looked a handicapper to follow when winning at Chelmsford and although a rise to today's mark temporarily halted him at Newbury he should still have more up his sleeve. Consistent Stormingin deserves a victory and after three consecutive seconds can be expected to again battle it out for supremacy here. Another knocking at the door of late is Kharbetation who has himself managed back-to-back seconds.
