Strong AW strike-rate (3-7); most effective at or around this trip and plausible that she'll be refreshed for her break (194-day absence); that said, she does require a career best effort in order to score off this mark.
Made much of the running before being reeled in by Breden at Newbury (1m, good to firm) last week, but drops back into a lesser race here (Class 4) and is unbeaten in two starts at this track; solid chance.
Consistent over the course of the past couple of months, and whilst probably holding few secrets from the handicapper as a result, her previous form figures at this track read; 1,2, with that June 'defeat' being by a mere short-head.
Forced into stronger races since a couple of small field wins (7f-1m), and is becoming more difficult to place; her trainer opts to take the AW route (beaten a head on her sole synthetics start at Lingfield in April); respected.
Ten race AW maiden (runner up to Malaspina at Newcastle in November 2017), and seems to save his best turf efforts for Redcar; caught close home (third) over 1m there in June, but that form has been franked since by the runner-up Pepys.
Not at his best of late (trip excuses here earlier in the month), but plenty to do off his current mark - 3lb above what he won off at Brighton (7f, good to firm) in May; others preferred over this trip.
Forecasts
Considered Opinion (13/8), Point Hope (9/4), Kalagia (4/1), Malaspina (12/1), Planetaria (14/1), Nutini (16/1)
A compact field, but not the easiest race to solve. Point Hope is consistent, but climbing the weights (hence the use of 5lb claimer Gary Mahon), whilst Kalagia is respected switching to the AW, but appears increasingly more challenging to place. Therefore, the default position is CONSIDERED OPINION. This four-year-old filly is unbeaten in two starts at Dunstall Park, and should make a bold bid from the front after a solid run on turf in a stronger contest at Newbury last week.
