Improved from novice company to make all and win the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, and very badly hampered in Duchess of Cambridge Stakes here last month. Should bounce back, and will take plenty of beating.
Won a novice on debut at Lingfield (6f, AW) last month, and just in front of La Pelosa when runner-up in 7f listed race won by Look Around at Sandown on latest outing. May yet do better, and not dismissed.
Improved on debut when making all to land a C&D novice auction last month from a subsequent winner, and should progress again, for all this represents a much stiffer task.
Best effort to date when winning a soft-ground maiden at Goodwood in June, but seems to have had her limitations exposed in stakes races since, finishing sixth of 8 in a Group 3 at Deauville last time.
Beaten just a neck by Main Edition in Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, and also hampered when in front of that rival here next time. Every chance on best form, but was a little disappointing when third in listed Star Stakes at Sandown on latest outing.
Runner-up in novices at Yarmouth and Ascot on last two outings, and will find a race, but appears to be biting off a little more than she can chew at this level of competition.
Caught the eye on Kempton debut, and built on that when winning muddling C&D novice last time. That form may underestimate her, and intriguing that top trainer is stepping her up in class here.
Forecasts
Main Edition (7/4), La Pelosa (7/2), Ajrar (9/2), Pennywhistle (6/1), Impulsion (8/1), California Love (11/1), Model Guest (33/1)
There isn't much between MAIN EDITION and La Pelosa on Royal Ascot running, and both suffered bad interference in the Duchess of Cambridge here last month, but the Godolphin filly rather fluffed her lines at Sandown, and Mark Johnston's charge gets the vote as a result. Pennywhistle takes a big step up in class, but John Gosden isn't one to overface his fillies, and she is respected accordingly.
